¹⁷ Relieve the troubles^(A) of my heart
    and free me from my anguish.^(B)

¹⁰ So then, banish anxiety^(A) from your heart
    and cast off the troubles of your body,
    for youth and vigor are meaningless.^(B)

⁵ The waters of the river will dry up,^(A)
    and the riverbed will be parched and dry.^(B)

⁷ The poor are shunned by all their relatives—
    how much more do their friends avoid them!^(A)
Though the poor pursue them with pleading,
    they are nowhere to be found.^[a](B)

¹⁵ Truth^(A) is nowhere to be found,
    and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.

The Lord looked and was displeased
    that there was no justice.^(B)
